The Yamato was a Japanese battleship in World War II and the lead ship of the Yamato class. The construction of the largest battleship ever built - together with sister ship Musashi - was carried out in the greatest secrecy. The Yamato was commissioned on December 16, 1941 and took part in many operations in the Pacific (Midway Leyte Gulf). She was sunk by American forces on April 7, 1945 around 290 km southwest of the Japanese island of Kyushu. Model with 2665 parts, movable elements and printed blocks.
