Schleich Clydesdale foal

The Clydesdale is one of the largest horses in the world. When fully grown, it is 160-180 centimeters tall. Only Shire Horses and Brabant horses grow taller. Clydesdales grow more slowly than other horse breeds. The foals are not fully grown at four or five years old, but only at seven or eight years old. At that point they weigh a good 1000 kilograms - as much as a small car. They are so strong that they can pull things that are much heavier than themselves. As a result, they have a high need for food and water. Every day they need 20-25 kilograms of grain with minerals and vitamins and around 50-60 kilograms of hay. This naturally makes them thirsty. Very thirsty. Clydesdales drink over 100 liters of water every day. Clydesdale foals are almost a meter tall when they are born.
