Weleda perineal massage oil, 50 ml
Cares for and prepares for birth
During birth, the perineal area is stretched to the maximum so that the child can be born. The perineal area is therefore exposed to extreme stress.
The perineal massage oil is a purely natural, specially designed care product for preparing for birth. The massage with the composition based on mild almond oil and wheat germ oil rich in vitamin E nourishes the skin and increases its elasticity. The massage effect, which stimulates blood circulation, also improves the suppleness of the skin. The mild mixture of natural essential oils is tailored to the sensitive perineal region. The perineal massage oil is used regularly from the 34th week of pregnancy.
Instructions for use
The perineum massage can be performed 3 to 4 times a week for 5-10 minutes. Preparation includes going to the toilet and possibly taking a bath that stimulates circulation (bath additive from WELEDA). After assuming a comfortable, relaxed position, the thumb (or index finger if the partner is massaging) is moistened with enough perineum massage oil so that it glides easily over the skin and the massage does not cause pain. Regular massage stretches the tissue and the surrounding muscles, which feel softer and more relaxed with each massage. Always massage the perineum until you feel a slight tingling sensation. After the massage, any oil residue in the perineum area can be washed off with warm water.
If you are prone to premature contractions, you should avoid the preparatory perineal massage. If you are unsure about the perineal massage, please ask your midwife or doctor for advice.
