Sisal fiber, also known as Agave sisalana, is a plant fiber that resembles the tip of a pineapple. Its sword-like leaves grow between 1.5 and 2 meters tall and have an average lifespan of 7 to 10 years. The plant can produce up to 250 leaves, each of which contains about 1,000 fibers.
